Been at home a bit much of late, so I took a trot up north to stretch the old legs. Even though it’s so close, this is my first trip to bonnie Scotland. The dogs up here, they couldn’t be friendlier. Sure the accent here takes a bit of work to get sorted, but it’s worth it, innit?

Had me a bit of an off-leash about Loch Lomond and a frolic in the thistle on the way up to Skye, where I am now. The island is like a faerie dream. Off the coast? Orcas! I could bark at those things all day. They don’t seem to take much notice, but that don’t bother me none!

Went down to the shops last night for a bite, but there were too many fried options for me. Good thing I had some J.J. Pips Doggie Snacks packed. Handed a few out and made some friends with a few of the local lads. Nice one! Tomorrow they’re taking me out to the ruins of Castle Moil for look around!

It’ll never happen, aye?

Now I’m in Dublin after trekking through Belfast and out to see the Giant’s Causeway. The Causeway is a bunch of mad crazy rocks that naturally look like weird hexagonal paving stones. They say they were laid down by the giant Finn McCool, but I didn’t smell him about. Maybe he was away fishing in Loch Ness?

Up in Donegal I saw a fantastic local band play. I was gutted to be near the only bloke in the place who couldn’t play an instrument. I did have a bit of a howl along, though!

Dublin is good town, loads to see here. That Book of Kells at Trinity College is right worth a look, and there are so many interesting people about! I’m tempted to hang about for a bit, but then I might just make my way to London, head right across the Channel, and see how far I can get.
